Tagonoura
Docking. First port of call. Various experiences are available at the port closest to Mt. Fuji.

Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest peak at 3,776 meters, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Recognized in 2013 for its cultural significance, it has inspired art, literature, and spiritual beliefs for centuries. Located between Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures, Fuji is an iconic symbol of Japan. It is a popular hiking destination, especially in summer. The mountain also features historic sites like Sengen shrines and the Fuji Five Lakes. Despite its beauty, preservation efforts are ongoing due to environmental concerns. Mount Fuji continues to captivate visitors worldwide with its breathtaking scenery and deep cultural heritage.

Yaizu
Docking. Maiden call. We will visit the fish market early in the morning. In the afternoon, we will split into groups and go sightseeing by bus to a tea plantation.

Shizuoka is Japan’s leading tea-producing region, known for its high-quality green tea. The area's ideal climate, rich soil, and abundant rainfall create perfect conditions for tea cultivation.
Tea production in Shizuoka dates back to the 13th century and has since become a major industry. The region produces various types of tea, including sencha, matcha, and fukamushi (deep-steamed) tea. Shizuoka’s scenic tea plantations, such as those on the slopes of Mt. Fuji, attract visitors. Today, Shizuoka remains a symbol of Japan’s tea culture, supplying about 40% of the country’s green tea.

Toba
You will disembark on a tender boat, then visit Ise Shrine and Okage Yokocho street that stretches along the approach to the shrine.

Ise Jingu, or Ise Grand Shrine, is one of Japan’s most sacred Shinto shrines, located in Mie Prefecture. It consists of two main shrines: Naiku, dedicated to Amaterasu, the sun goddess, and Geku, dedicated to Toyouke, the deity of agriculture and industry.
With a history of over 2,000 years, Ise Jingu follows a unique tradition of rebuilding its shrine structures every 20 years, symbolizing renewal and continuity. Surrounded by serene forests and rivers, it attracts millions of pilgrims and visitors annually. As the spiritual heart of Japan, Ise Jingu preserves ancient Shinto traditions and culture.

Katsuura
Maiden call. In the morning, you will land at the fishing port by Zodiac. In the afternoon, you will be guided to the Kumano Kodo, a World Heritage Site.

Kumano Kodo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a network of ancient pilgrimage routes in Japan’s Kii Peninsula. These sacred trails connect three major shrines: Kumano Hongu Taisha, Kumano Nachi Taisha, and Kumano Hayatama Taisha, collectively known as the Kumano Sanzan.
Used for over 1,000 years, the paths were walked by emperors, nobles, and commoners seeking spiritual enlightenment. The trails pass through lush forests, mountains, and small villages, offering breathtaking scenery. Today, Kumano Kodo remains a popular pilgrimage and hiking destination, preserving Japan’s deep spiritual and cultural heritage.

Hagi
We will land by Zodiac at the scenic Hagi Hakkei, close to the ruins of Hagi Castle. After landing, we will take a bus tour of the historic city that developed as a castle town.

Hagi Castle Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Yamaguchi, Japan, preserves the atmosphere of Japan’s Edo-period samurai district. Built in the early 17th century, it was the political and cultural center of the Mori clan. The town features well-preserved samurai residences, white-plastered walls, and a unique grid layout. Hagi is also famous for Hagi-yaki pottery, a traditional ceramic art. As a key site in Japan’s modernization, it played a role in the Meiji Restoration. Today, visitors can explore its historic streets, gaining insight into Japan’s rich feudal and cultural heritage.

Shimonoseki
Docking. We will visit the Karato Market, which is bustling with locals. The auction is open to the public for viewing, but there are days when it is not held, depending on the schedule.You can enjoy a variety of delicious local foods, including sushi, miso soup, and tempura.(Open : Early morning to 3pm) We will also take a bus to visit the Mori Residence in the historic castle town of Chofu.

The Kanmon Strait is a narrow waterway separating Honshu and Kyushu, Japan’s two main islands. It connects the Sea of Japan with the Seto Inland Sea and is a vital route for international and domestic shipping. The strait is spanned by the Kanmon Bridge and an undersea tunnel, linking Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi and Moji in Fukuoka. Historically, it was the site of key naval battles, including the Battle of Dan-no-ura in 1185. Today, it is known for its scenic beauty, seafood, and the vibrant night views of the surrounding cities.

Miyajima
We will land on Miyajima by tender boat and tour Miyajima before the general opening hours. Please feel free to visit Itsukushima Shrine without worrying about the crowds.

Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located on Miyajima Island in Hiroshima, Japan. Famous for its "floating" torii gate, the shrine appears to float on water at high tide. Built in the 6th century and expanded in the 12th century by Taira no Kiyomori, it is dedicated to sea deities. The shrine’s vermilion buildings blend with nature, connected by wooden corridors over the sea. Visitors can walk to the torii gate at low tide. Known for traditional Noh performances and festivals, Itsukushima Shrine remains a symbol of Japan’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

Mitarai
We will land on the island by Zodiac. Please feel free to explore the area designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings using the walking map. You can freely visit several historic buildings.

Inujima
We will land on a Zodiac and enjoy exploring the area on foot, including the Smelter Museum.

Inujima Seirensho Art Museum, located on Inujima Island in Okayama Prefecture, is a unique contemporary art museum built within a former copper refinery. The refinery, established in 1909, was once a key industrial site but was abandoned in 1919 due to economic decline. The museum, opened in 2008, preserves the ruins while incorporating eco-friendly design and artworks by Yukinori Yanagi. Inujima itself has a history tied to quarrying and industry, but today, it is known for its art and tourism. The island is part of the Setouchi Triennale, attracting visitors with its fusion of history, nature, and modern art.
